Amenities
Umoya Safari Lodge offers an outdoor swimming pool with a pool bar, martini chairs, and a shallow end. The spa and wellness centre provides back massages, couples massages, foot massages, full body massages, and head massages, plus dedicated spa facilities. Guests can play darts, use the games room, join live sport events, themed dinner nights, and walking tours, all included.
Rooms
Each superior double or twin room offers mountain views and a private bathroom with a shower, free toiletries, hairdryer, and slippers. Rooms feature soundproofing, air conditioning, heating, a private verandah, and a designer bath with a rain shower that opens to the outdoors. Daily housekeeping, laundry service, and board games or puzzles are available in every unit.
Dining
The lodge's restaurant serves à la carte, continental, or Full English/Irish breakfasts, with special diet menus and wine or champagne on request. Chef David and Chef Happy prepare designer meals and Boma dinners under the stars, including fillet steak and lamb chops. Bar service includes a pool bar, and guests can enjoy BBQ facilities and outdoor fireplace dining.
Wildlife & Game Drives
Game drives operate twice daily at 5:30 AM and 5:30 PM, led by experienced rangers such as Rassie (28 years of experience) or Emma. Drives cover the Black Rhino Reserve and Pilanesberg National Reserve, with sightings of the Big Five, cheetah, black rhino, and other wildlife. During drives, guests receive snack platters with biltong, dried mango, nuts, and alcoholic beverages, plus sundowner drinks in the bush.
Location & Logistics
Umoya Safari Lodge is located 1.6 km from Black Rhino Game Lodge and 34 km from Valley of Waves, within the northern Pilanesberg Nature Reserve. The lodge offers airport drop-off and pick-up, airport shuttle, and a shuttle service, plus valet parking and accessible parking. Concierge service, private check-in/check-out, 24-hour security, CCTV in common areas, and fire extinguishers are provided.
